Teresa Valley is a passionate community leader, mentor, guide, and coach, and the founder of Girls Giving Back (GGB), a nonprofit she launched in 2009 alongside her 9-year-old daughter, Taylor. What began as a simple desire to bring friends and youth together for community outreach quickly grew into a powerful movement serving women, children, and families in crisis. Under Teresa’s leadership, GGB has transformed more than 200 transitional shelter spaces and nonprofit offices, creating uplifting, hope-filled environments that go far beyond basic needs—spaces infused with dignity, care, and possibility through hands-on renovations, relationship-building, and heartfelt guidance.
Inspired by the resilience and courage of those navigating personal hardship, Teresa expanded her mission in 2019 with the creation of Be Kind 5, a framework centered on five pillars of kindness: Mental Health, Giving Back, Earth Service, Physical Health, and Financial Literacy (learn more at www.bekind5.org). In 2025, Be Kind 5 officially became a nonprofit organization, deepening its impact and expanding its reach to intentionally support youth through a specialized empowerment program designed to build self-awareness, confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong tools for well-being.
Now in her 17th year in the nonprofit sector, Teresa walks alongside individuals and organizations as a mentor, guide, and coach—bringing inspiration, encouragement, fresh perspective, and creative energy to every conversation. She is known for sparking excitement around new ideas, championing out‑of‑the‑box thinking, and supporting those ready to reimagine what’s possible. With a unique ability to see potential where others may see obstacles, Teresa helps nonprofits, small business owners, youth leaders, and women with big hearts and bold visions turn sparks of inspiration into clear direction and meaningful, sustainable impact—personally, professionally, and within the communities they serve.
